Kelly Cleaning was pleased to donate $1,250.00 at the “Don Felder, An Evening at the Hotel California” event on November 15, 2016. The event was held to benefit the Community Memorial Health System. This story is about why we gave, who it helps, and why local giving matters to us.
What the Donation Supported
The Community Memorial Health System is a nonprofit. That means it puts money back into care and community, not into profit. The system includes two local hospitals:
- Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura
- Ojai Valley Community Hospital
Our gift helped support five construction projects that were underway. Two of the biggest were:
- A modern medical suites complex in Ventura
- A multi-story parking structure in Ventura
These may sound like simple building projects. But they make a real difference for patients and families. A new medical suites complex means more room for doctors, nurses, and care teams. A bigger parking structure means it is easier for people to get to their appointments. When you are worried about a loved one, the last thing you want is to circle the block looking for a parking spot.
