Dia duit, lasses and lads! Sierge here, and after all the burgers, hot dogs, and apple pie, your grill and oven may be looking a wee bit worse for wear. Never fear—follow these simple steps and they’ll be shining again in no time!

Let everything cool completely. Safety first—make sure the grill grates and oven surfaces are cool to the touch before you begin.
Remove loose debris. Brush away ash, crumbs, and food particles from the grill and sweep out any loose bits from the oven.
Soak the removable parts. Place grill grates, oven racks, and drip trays in warm water with a generous squirt of dish soap.
Scrub away the grease. Use a griddle screen, steel wool, or a non-scratch scrub pad to remove stubborn buildup. A quality oven-cleaning solution will make the task much easier.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe all surfaces clean and allow the parts to dry before reassembling.
